Your Role & Profile

Join our VaR/Risk Management team as an Intern Software Engineer and empower improve access to critical data by implementing a new results storage system. Currently, these results are managed in Oracle SQL; your mission will be to migrate them to MongoDB to enable users to view key indicators such as VaR (Value at Risk) and other Risk Management metrics through a modern, intuitive web interface, that you will have to develop.

You are keen on delivering an intuitive user experience that anticipates operational needs.

What You'll Do

Design and Develop the solution for storing results in MongoDB.
Ensure smooth migration of data from Oracle SQL to MongoDB while meeting performance and security requirements.
Design and development of a user-friendly web interface
Create a user-friendly and secure web application, accessible via a link in an email generated by the alert.
Develop an API
Implement communication with a REST API, ensuring reliable and high-performance data exchange.
Apply best practices and contribute to overall product quality.

What We're Looking For

Final year Bachelor's or Master's student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Solid foundation in at least one object-oriented programming language (C#, C++, (.NET Core, Blazor)
Good understanding of software design principles and patterns
Knowledge of relational databases and SQL fundamentals
Strong problem-solving skills, enthusiasm for technical challenges, and keen attention to detail
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Eagerness to learn new technologies and adopt best practices
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile team environment

Bonus Points for

Experience building personal or academic projects with object-oriented programming and SQL
Familiarity with the Visual Studio development environment
Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git)
Familiarity with WinForms controls and DevExpress components
Awareness of performance, memory optimization, and usability considerations
Exposure to automated testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting
Commitment to quality and comprehensive documentation
Financial literacy, with a basic understanding of investment products and strategies
