Lead Product Owner – Data Platform

Up to £650 per day Inside IR35

AI Connect are partnering with a major UK bank to help them hire a Lead Product Owner with expertise in data platforms and streaming. This role sits within the core Product Owner job family and will play a critical part in transforming how fraud data is managed, hosted, and used across the organisation.

You’ll be at the forefront of a large-scale cloud migration programme, helping move externally hosted, on-prem fraud data assets into a modern, strategic cloud environment powered by AWS reshaping the entire fraud data landscape.

Key Skills & Experience

Strong experience working as a Product Owner or Data Product Owner in complex enterprise environments.
Good knowledge of streaming data pipelines, ideally with tools such as Kafka.
Solid understanding of data lakes, data engineering concepts, and how data flows and is stored.
Ability to understand and assess data assets and data quality, identifying areas for improvement.
Experience engaging with technical teams to shape requirements and delivery roadmaps.
Work closely with engineering teams to ensure streaming pipelines such as Kafka are optimised and fit for purpose.
Define how data flows into data lakes and data platforms, ensuring it is structured, stored, and accessible.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
AWS knowledge is essential – particularly around cloud migration and hosting of large data platforms.
