Role: Cloud Engineer

Work Pattern: Hybrid

Salary: £40,000-55,000

The organisation is seeking a well-rounded cloud infrastructure engineer to join a technical team responsible for building and maintaining multi-cloud environments. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative and supportive culture that encourages continuous learning, experimentation with modern technologies, and the adoption of best practices.

Responsibilities:

Designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based web and application hosting environments using Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
Supporting Linux and Windows virtual machine workloads.
Managing a cloud networking components, including load balancers and application gateways.
Building and supporting managed Kubernetes platforms for application and service hosting.
Implementing, configuring, and maintaining content delivery networks and web application firewalls.
Managing firewall policies and configurations through Infrastructure as Code.
Implementing, monitoring, and maintaining cloud-based backup and recovery solutions.

Required Skills:

Strong experience with Azure.
Administration of Microsoft Windows Server environments (including directory services, DNS, web services, and databases).
Administration of Linux servers.
Strong understanding of networking concepts (switching, firewalls, secure remote access).
Experience with cloud-based backup solutions.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving technical environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly self-motivated with a strong focus on delivery.

Desirable Skills:

Kubernetes platforms.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience using Infrastructure as Code tooling.
