We are currently searching for an experienced DevSecOps to join our software team in Montreal. As a DevSecOps Specialist, you will be responsible for embedding security best practices into our development and operational workflows while continuously enhancing the speed, reliability, and quality of our software delivery. You will collaborate closely with development and operations teams to ensure that our geoscience software solutions are secure, compliant, and resilient throughout their lifecycle.
Day-to-day tasks include:
• implement and maintain security controls in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and application
deployment
• develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps)
• collaborate with development and IT teams to embed security at every stage of the software
lifecycle
• monitor, detect, and respond to security threats in Cloud and on-premises environments
• lead the evolution and modernization of our Cloud architecture to better support HPC
workloads
• design system architecture to meet service level objectives (including high availability and
resilience)
• support the containerization of applications and their transition toward production-grade
• Docker deployments _ provide guidance and training to development teams on secure coding, observability, and DevSecOps best practices
• take a lead role in the implementation and maintenance of ISO 27001 certification
Qualifications required:
at least deux (2) years direct experience in DevOps and Cybersecurity
strong knowledge of:
cloud security (especially on Azure)
container security (Docker, Kubernetes),
infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, etc.), and
configuration automation (e.g. Ansible)
proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
experience with security monitoring, scanning, and vulnerability management tools
familiarity with compliance frameworks and security best practices
strong problem-solving, analytical skills and communication skills
ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
degree in software engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or equivalent qualification
certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are a plus but not a requirement
• proficient English language skills are essential; French, Spanish, or other languages would be an asset.
We offer a hybrid work model where team members work from the office and from home. Our DevSecOps specialist will work from our Montreal office two days per week. During the months of July and August we offer our employees the possibility of working fully remotely.
