Role Overview And Purpose
ABM UK is seeking a proactive and dedicated Security Team Leader to oversee our security team operations at various client sites. You will be responsible for managing and leading a team of security officers, ensuring optimal performance, adherence to security protocols, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. Your leadership will be vital in nurturing a culture of teamwork, vigilance, and professionalism that upholds ABM's high standards of safety and security.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and motivate the security team to achieve the highest level of service and compliance with security procedures
Conduct regular briefings and training sessions for security staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills
Monitor the performance of your team and provide constructive feedback to support their development
Manage incident reporting and documentation, ensuring prompt communication with relevant parties
Conduct site inspections to assess adherence to security protocols and identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with management and clients to develop security strategies that meet the unique needs of each site
Act as the primary point of contact for security incidents, ensuring incidents are handled effectively and timely
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of site-specific protocols, legislation, and emergency procedures
Requirements
Proven experience in a security role, with previous team leader or supervisory experience preferred
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to manage and resolve conflicts in a calm and effective manner
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Proficient in using security technology and related software
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Valid SIA Front Line License (Security Guarding, Door Supervision, or Close Protection)
Ability to perform risk assessments and develop effective security protocols
