The Role We are seeking an experienced Project Quality & Data Improvement Lead to support a large, multi-disciplinary offshore development project. Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager, the role is accountable for leading Quality Assurance and Data Improvement activities across the full project scope, ensuring early risk identification, robust governance, and continuous performance improvement.

This is a senior, transversal role operating across SURF, SPS, FPSO, Field Operations, Drilling & Wells, and Gas Systems, with high exposure to project leadership, contractors, and partners.

Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance Leadership

Develop, implement, and maintain a fit-for-purpose Project Quality Management System (QMS), including dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools.
Coordinate and align quality assurance activities across all project packages to ensure consistency, compliance, and timely close-out of actions.
Organise and lead regular quality reviews, audits, and follow-up sessions with package teams and contractors.
Identify, log, monitor, and close quality-related risks, issues, and actions in line with company specifications and governance.
Promote the Project Quality Policy and embed a strong delivery-focused quality culture across teams.
Capture lessons learned and contribute to project close-out documentation.

Data Improvement & Performance

Map processes, identify inefficiencies, and define meaningful KPIs to support operational excellence.
Drive data improvement initiatives using structured methodologies (Lean, continuous improvement, root cause analysis).
Design and maintain performance dashboards to anticipate risks, monitor delivery, and support management decision-making.
Ensure quality and data insights translate into tangible value and schedule protection.

HSE & Interfaces

Demonstrate exemplary HSE behaviour and ensure HSE requirements are fully embedded within quality processes.
Pay particular attention to HSE-related interfaces across packages and contractors.
Participate in site visits when required and support interface risk management.

Delivery & Stakeholder Management

Provide clear, timely reporting to the Project Delivery Manager (progress, KPIs, dashboards).
Support engagements with partners and concession stakeholders, including preparation and participation in workshops and committees.
Identify early change needs arising from package execution and propose pragmatic corrective actions.
Ensure confidentiality and integrity of all project documentation.

Required Profile

Degree-qualified Quality Engineer or equivalent, with minimum 10 years’ experience on Oil & Gas projects, including offshore developments.
Strong experience in transversal coordination across complex, multi-package projects.
Proven background in process mapping, KPI management, Lean/continuous improvement, and root cause analysis.
Advanced mandatory skills in Excel, PowerQuery, Power BI, and DAX.
Working experience with tools such as Visio, SharePoint, VBA, Polarion, NewProdum, and IQ-All.
Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo and deliver measurable value.
Excellent communication skills, strong influencing capability, and ability to operate at senior project level.
Highly organised, rigorous, and delivery-driven.
