Hiring: Senior SAP Security Specialist

Location: Omaha, NE

Work Mode: 100% Onsite (5 days/week)

Experience Level: Senior (15+ years)

We are seeking a Senior SAP Security Specialist to lead SAP security design, governance, and compliance initiatives in a complex enterprise environment. This role requires deep expertise in SAP Security, GRC, SOX controls, and authorization management, along with strong collaboration across BASIS, development, and audit teams.

Role Overview

As a Senior SAP Security Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and enforcing SAP security architecture, ensuring SOX and GRC compliance, managing vulnerabilities, and maintaining a zero-defect production culture. You’ll play a key role in securing SAP landscapes across ECC/S4, Fiori, and integrated systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement SAP security architecture and controls
Perform and monitor SOX controls related to SAP Security & GRC
Collaborate with SAP BASIS and development teams on patches and transports
Conduct SOD (Segregation of Duties) analysis and remediation
Manage SAP security incidents, audits, and documentation
Perform authorization design and role management
Support SAP transports, RFC security, and landscape controls
Review ABAP and custom developments for security risks
Monitor vulnerabilities, threats, and SIEM alerts
Mentor junior team members and enforce best practices
Ensure zero production defects through proactive security governance

Required Qualifications

Experience

15+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Security & GRC
Prior experience in SAP Security design, architecture, BASIS, or SAP development

Technical Skills

SAP Security & GRC (Access Control, Risk Analysis, SOX)
SAP authorization concepts & objects
SAP Solution Manager
Transport management & RFC security
SAP Fiori & Workzone security
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Vulnerability assessment & system monitoring
SIEM & threat management tools
SOD analysis and remediation
Working knowledge of ABAP (security review perspective)

Information Security

Strong understanding of information security frameworks
Knowledge of data protection and compliance regulations

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications: CISSP, SAP Security Certification, or equivalent
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
