Title: Instructional Designer – Articulate Rise 360 & Workday Enablement

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid In-Office, Willis Tower)

Travel: 10% Travel to Local Sites

Duration & Type: Initial 6-month Contract with potential extension or conversion

Compensation: Competitive hourly W2 rate ($33-35 per hour), with access to healthcare and dental insurance plans

Summary

Chamberlain Advisors is partnering with our direct client in the airline industry in search of a Senior Instructional Designer – HR Technology & Workday Enablement to join their Global Learning team in support of a large-scale HR technology transformation, including a transition to Workday HCM. This role is critical to ensuring enterprise-wide adoption, readiness, and behavior change across HR, Payroll, leaders, and employees. The ideal candidate thrives in complex, fast-moving transformation environments and is comfortable translating system design and future-state workflows into scalable, learner-centric experiences.

The Senior Instructional Designer will design, develop, and manage learning solutions aligned to major HR system implementation milestones. This individual will partner closely with HR, HRIS, IT, Change Management, Communications, and external vendors to ensure learning programs effectively support system deployment, testing cycles, and post-launch sustainment. What You Will Be Accountable For

Design and deliver role-based learning solutions supporting HR technology implementations (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Talent modules)
Translate end-to-end business processes, system configurations, and future-state workflows into clear, effective learning experiences
Develop enablement for HR, Payroll, Managers, Support Teams, and enterprise employee audiences
Apply Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies and adult learning theory
Develop instructor-led training (ILT), eLearning, microlearning, simulations, walkthroughs, and job aids
Build scalable, just-in-time learning assets to support performance in the flow of work
Align content to transformation milestones (UAT, deployment waves, sustainment)
Reinforce new behaviors and operating models during system transitions
Collaborate with Change Management and Communications to ensure cohesive rollout messaging
Support agile or phased deployment environments
Establish and track key learning metrics
Analyze learner feedback and adoption data
Continuously refine content based on business outcomes and user experience

What Qualifications You Need

3+ years of instructional design and learning development experience
Direct experience supporting enterprise HR technology implementations (e.g., Workday or comparable HCM platforms)
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise transformations or operating model changes
Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Articulate 360 / Rise
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity
Reliable attendance is essential
Experience in complex corporate enterprise environments
Experience with microlearning tools such as 7Taps, Synthesia, or Vyond
Experience implementing ServiceNow (ServiceNow for HR preferred)
Strong business acumen with ability to translate enterprise needs into impactful learning solutions
Familiarity with change management frameworks and technology adoption strategies
Experience working in agile or phased system deployment environments
Willingness to travel up to 10%
