Job Title: Senior Systems Administration Lead

Location-Type: Hybrid (3 days onsite in Boston, MA)

Start Date Is: ASAP

Duration: 3–6 months (contract)

Compensation Range: $45/hr – $55/hr

Job Description:

Interim leadership role managing Salesforce system operations and administration during a temporary coverage period.

This role provides critical temporary leadership to ensure smooth daily operations and project continuity within the Advancement systems team. Ideal candidates will have Salesforce expertise, coaching ability, and strong cross-functional communication skills to serve as a bridge between tech and business teams.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Conduct daily standups and coach system administration team members
Monitor, assign, and troubleshoot cases (licensing, tech changes, data uploads)
Act as liaison between Advancement and ITS for project alignment
Maintain and stabilize Salesforce platforms (Ascend, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Experience Cloud)
Drive strategic initiatives like Kindsight engagement and parent data loads
Coordinate technical issue resolution and provide regular updates to leadership

Requirements:

Must-Haves:

5–7 years Salesforce administration experience
Experience coaching or leading technical teams
Strong knowledge of Salesforce Clouds (Marketing, Commerce, Experience)
Proficiency in Salesforce configuration tools (Flow, Process Builder, reports)
Strong business analysis and stakeholder communication skills
Ability to prioritize and execute independently in a temporary role

Nice-to-Haves:

Bachelor's degree
Experience in advancement, fundraising, or higher education
Familiarity with Ascend CRM or Kindsight
Experience with project management and system stabilization
