Architect - Full Stack (Frontend & Backend) - Video Platforms

Contract-to-Hire preferred

Hybrid - 3+ days on site

About the Role

We’re looking for a senior full-stack architect to own and shape both frontend and backend systems for a complex, video-centric platform. You’ll work on web and cloud applications that integrate with video workflows, helping design systems that scale and perform reliably.

While you won’t necessarily be building low-level video pipelines, you must understand video concepts, formats, and delivery use cases well enough to architect solutions that support them effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and evolve full-stack web applications supporting video platforms
Own backend architecture for cloud-based services and APIs
Design scalable, maintainable systems that integrate with video workflows
Collaborate with embedded, video, and QA teams for seamless system integration
Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the development team
Translate product requirements into robust technical designs
Drive best practices in performance, security, and maintainability

Required Experience & Skills

Strong experience across frontend and backend development
Proven architectural experience designing web and cloud-based systems
Solid understanding of video delivery concepts, including:
OTT streaming (HLS, DASH)
DRM and content protection
Video encoding and formats
Backend experience with scalable services and APIs
Familiarity with cloud-based architectures
Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams

Nice to Have

Experience working with video platforms, gateways, or media systems
Exposure to edge computing or IoT-style platforms
