Job Specifications

Azure DevOps Engineer - Global Commodities and Trading - Up to £100k - Hybrid, LDN

As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with a business specialising in risk management and hedging solutions for organisations exposed to commodity and foreign exchange markets, helping to support platforms that enable clients to manage price volatility and market risk. The firm’s core focus is delivering tailored strategies through over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives and brokerage execution services, supporting companies that operate across commodities, including agricultural products, and foreign exchange. In this role, you will help underpin solutions that design and deliver bespoke hedging strategies, enable efficient execution across commodity derivatives markets, and provide the ongoing market insight and operational support clients rely on to navigate volatile market conditions.

In the role of Azure DevOps Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage DevOps-focused Docker containerisation strategies that enable consistent, portable deployment of applications across multiple environments. You will create and integrate hybrid cloud solutions, allowing seamless communication between on-premise infrastructure, cloud platforms, and containerised environments. From a DevOps perspective, you will enhance SQL Server redundancy and resilience by exploring new strategies and leveraging licensing options to improve database performance and availability. This role offers the opportunity to stay up to date with the latest DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices, while influencing the adoption of modern approaches across the business. You will also perform root cause analysis for critical incidents within Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters, implementing preventative measures to strengthen platform stability and reduce future risk.
