This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance.

Our Investment Banking team is one of the leading franchises in Canada, with over 350 professionals globally. We provide our corporate, institutional and government clients with capital markets and financial advisory services and integrated solutions.
We're on the lookout for talented individuals to join our Canadian team as Investment Banking Analysts. We're looking to build teams across Canada with opportunities in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary. As an Investment Banking Analyst, you'll be exposed to a wide variety of clients, industries, financial services and products, and work on various integrated teams that will provide you with the necessary skills to develop, grow and thrive in Investment Banking.
Job Description
Your Career as an Investment Banking Analyst
You'll work under the direction of a senior officer and with other experienced professionals, helping to generate ideas, advise clients and execute transactions.
Job Requirements
How You Will Contribute
Research and analyze clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and mergers and acquisition opportunities.
Develop valuation models of individual private and public companies as well as merged entities.
Apply valuation tools to assess opportunities.
Value private and public companies.
Assist with client negotiations and documentation.
Prepare external client proposals and internal underwriting memos.
Prepare client presentations based upon the above.
Must-Have
Undergraduate degree with a demonstrated interest in finance
Have a combination of strong financial/analytical skills.
Excellent communication abilities.
Adept at financial modeling and valuation.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Nice-To-Have
Prior investment banking analyst experience
CA and/or CFA designation considered a strong asset.
