We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Manager to join us on a 6month maternity contract based in Brussels. Reporting to the EU Maintenance Manager you will take ownership for all stores and office locations across Belgium and Luxemburg and as such you’ll work closely with both internal teams and external suppliers or vendors therefore strong communication skills are essential, as is fluency in both French and English.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves being out in stores, solving problems quickly, and making a real impact on the daily experience of our teams and customers. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the safety, performance, and operational excellence of our stores and offices, directly supporting the European Maintenance Manager and the COO for the region. Together, you’ll help deliver high service standards and timely maintenance interventions, always with the mission of supporting our store teams and creating an exceptional environment for both customers and employees.

What you will be responsible for:

Manage requests for intervention, prioritising both preventive and curative maintenance across stores and the Head Office, ensuring high-quality execution through strong planning and organisational skills.
Manage a regular and weekly visit schedule to develop a complete understanding of each store, recognising that the best way to improve processes is by being on-site.
Carry out hands-on tasks when needed, including painting, drilling, small carpentry, and other minor repairs.
Demonstrate strong reactivity, propose effective solutions, and actively contribute to maintenance improvement activities.
Oversee, improve and conduct daily monitoring of Service Channel and Coupa, including the creation and integration of new suppliers.
Manage, monitor, and prepare maintenance budgets to strengthen the positive impact on the P&L.
Manage our network of suppliers and service providers (control offices, maintenance companies, elevators, goods lifts, escalators, air conditioning providers, etc.).
Ensure follow-up of inspection observations and all regulatory checks.
Manage store claims and act as the main contact point for insurance, landlords, tenants, and service providers.
Lead calls for tenders to drive savings and diversify or improve the supplier base.
Maintain daily communication with all service providers to strengthen relationships, clarify needs, and support improved results - while ensuring strong collaboration with stores and Head Office departments.
Carry out any other tasks or missions within your competence that may be assigned by your hierarchy, on a temporary or permanent basis.

Skills, Experience and Attributes:

Holder of a high school diploma or technical training degree
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a maintenance department, ideally within the retail, hospitality, entertainment sector or a specialised agency.
Fluent in both French and English; Dutch is advantageous
Air‑conditioning and electrician certifications are a strong advantage.
Able to travel to store locations across Belgium and Luxembourg on a regular basis
Strong time management, flexibility, and excellent capability to manage urgent situations quickly and effectively.
Excellent professional writing skills, with a keen sense of organisation, attentive listening, and a strong service mindset towards store teams.
Proven ability to be rigorous, autonomous, responsive, and highly adaptable.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, allowing you to work confidently with stores, suppliers, and internal departments.
High level of computer proficiency, including Word and Excel (PowerPoint is a plus), as well as experience using GMAO software.
