We are seeking an experienced and dynamic hands-on Warehouse/Transport Manager to oversee and coordinate the organisation of transportation activities within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing logistics operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain processes to optimise efficiency and reduce costs. The Transport Manager will play a vital role in ensuring our transportation services meet both operational demands and regulatory requirements.

Duties

Plan, implement, and monitor transportation schedules to ensure punctual deliveries across various locations.
Manage a team of drivers and logistics personnel, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations.
Coordinate with suppliers, clients, and internal departments to streamline supply chain operations.
Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Analyse logistics data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, driver logs, and inventory movements.
Ensure all transportation activities adhere to legal requirements and company policies.
Provide excellent customer service by resolving any transportation-related issues promptly and professionally.
Forklift driving, order picking and order picking supervising.

Skills

Management experience within logistics or transport sectors.
Knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation planning.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated leadership ability with strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Ability to analyse data critically and implement process improvements.
Exceptional customer service orientation with problem-solving capabilities.
