Job Description
We are seeking a Data Scientist with strong experience in Databricks and hands-on use of Microsoft Copilot or similar AI Copilot tools to drive advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will work with large-scale datasets, build and deploy models, and leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, code quality, and insight generation.
This role is based in or around the Milwaukee, WI area, with a preference for candidates available for onsite or hybrid work.
Key Responsibilities
Perform data analysis and feature engineering using Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake)
Build, train, and deploy machine learning and statistical models
Leverage Microsoft Copilot / GitHub Copilot to accelerate coding, experimentation, and documentation
Work with structured and unstructured data at scale
Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations for business and technical stakeholders
Collaborate with data engineers, product teams, and business users
Ensure data quality, performance, and best practices across analytics pipelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar role
Strong hands-on experience with Databricks
Proficiency in Python (R is a plus)
Strong SQL skills
Hands-on experience using Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-assisted tools
Solid foundation in statistics, machine learning, and data modeling
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, matplotlib, etc.)
Preferred / Nice to Have
Experience with Azure Databricks and broader Azure ecosystem
Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow)
Experience deploying models to production
Industry experience in manufacturing, healthcare, or enterprise analytics
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Location Requirement
Candidates must be local to the Milwaukee, WI area or willing to commute/relocate
Hybrid or onsite availability preferred
