Strategic Account CTO | London (Hybrid) | SMT Level

I am currently headhunting for a Strategic Account CTO to join the Senior Management Team (SMT) of a global technology leader. This is a high-authority role, acting as the primary technical lead for a flagship global account.

You will own the technical strategy, from defining the multi-year roadmap to overseeing the governance of large-scale transformations.

The Mandate

Strategic Authority: Act as the Account Architecture Authority. You will define the technical vision and roadmap to solve high-level business challenges.
Design Governance: Provide technical assurance (pre and post-sales) for wide-area change, transition, and transformation projects.
C-Suite Advisory: Establish yourself as the central technical point of contact for stakeholders, translating client "pain points" into viable technical and commercial roadmaps.
Commercial Growth: Support pre-sales and complex bid developments by aligning the client’s landscape with modern digital services.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing squad of Architects, technical specialists, and domain experts.

Candidate Requirements

Architectural Expertise: Proven track record in solution design and technical governance for multi-million-pound accounts.
Commercial Acumen: Strong experience in pre-sales and developing commercial bids for large-scale visions.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and reskill technical teams in high-pressure environments.
Tech Stack: Deep knowledge of cloud transformation, service optimisation, and emerging technologies (AI/Automation).
Gravitas: The ability to influence at the C-Suite level and act as a trusted advisor.
