Middle Software Engineer (C++)

High-Frequency Trading | Market Data & Infrastructure

Base salary: $100k–$120k + bonus

Dubai (Relocation Supported) | CET-Aligned Team

We’re hiring a Middle Software Engineer (C++) on behalf of a fast-scaling proprietary trading firm based in Dubai, to work on production high-frequency trading infrastructure that operates in live markets every day.

The role

You’ll work on developing and optimising trading systems, algorithms, and connectivity to cryptocurrency exchanges and market data providers.

Despite the title, this is a true mid-level role by design. Engineers with 3–4 years’ experience at Tier 1 HFT or proprietary trading firms are a strong fit.

Key responsibilities

Develop and maintain connections to cryptocurrency exchanges and external data providers
Troubleshoot and resolve market data and performance issues in live systems
Build and extend core trading infrastructure and system features
Collaborate closely with trading, research, and infrastructure teams
Debug and fix issues in production and pre-production environments

Required skills & experience

3+ years of professional software development experience
Strong, production-grade C++ experience in performance-critical systems
Experience working with high-load or low-latency systems
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
Good understanding of networking fundamentals
Exposure to financial markets, low-latency / HFT systems, and/or distributed systems

Bonus if you have

Experience with Python and/or Kafka
Familiarity with REST, WebSockets, or FIX
Experience with AWS, Kibana, Grafana, or Prometheus

No prior crypto trading experience is required.
