Job Specifications

Role: : Data Engineer

Location: Mississauga- Hybrid 3 days/week and the interview will be in person

Hire Type: Contract

Python, Pyspark, (Azure Databrics OR Snowflake) SQL, Good investment banking experience

Mandatory Skills

Python (strong hands-on)
PySpark (production pipelines)
Azure Databricks OR Snowflake
Advanced SQL (complex joins, performance tuning)
Data modeling for analytical workloads

Domain Experience (Must Have)

Capital Markets / Investment Banking exposure
Derivatives data (Futures, Options, Swaps preferred)
Understanding of trade lifecycle, positions, P&L, risk data

Responsibilities

Build and optimize scalable data pipelines for market & derivatives data
Process batch and near-real-time datasets using PySpark
Design curated datasets for risk, reporting, and analytics teams
Ensure data quality, reconciliation, and audit controls
Collaborate with quants, risk, and downstream analytics users
