DAY TO DAY

A major publicly traded company in the travel industry is looking for a Jr. Business Analyst/ Data Analyst (since there is a data manipulation component) to join a crew planning organization that handles the crew management systems from a development, business intelligence, and business analysis standpoint. This position involves evaluating and analyzing current IT systems and software to identify errors, inefficiencies, or outdated components. It requires collaborating closely with stakeholders to gather system requirements and understand business needs. Responsibilities also include designing new systems or enhancements, drafting technical specifications, and documenting system architecture to support future maintenance. The position works with IT teams to implement new systems or features, conducts testing, and troubleshoots issues to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, the role provides user training, ongoing support, and troubleshooting, while creating system analysis reports, monitoring system performance, and recommending improvements to optimize overall system effectiveness. This person will be responsible for gathering use cases, defining requirements, and supporting the execution of various initiatives and reports to the Senior Manager, HR Reporting & Analytics. More day to day responsibilities include the following:

MUST HAVES

1+ year of data analysis or business analysis experience (more than an internship)
Proficient in M365 including Excel, Word, PowerPoint (Vlookups, pivot tables, data manipulation in excel)
Experience working with a ticketing system (like ServiceNow)
Understanding of system integration and migration processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

PLUSSES

Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
SQL Scripting proficiency
Travel or and cruise line industry experience
Power BI or HRIS experience or familiarity
Data compliance background or experience
