Senior Golang Developer

6-Month Contract | Onsite - Plano, TX

Our client is a well-established industry leader working on mission-critical systems that require the highest standards of security, reliability, and performance. You'll be joining a collaborative team of experienced engineers working on innovative solutions at scale.

About the Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Golang Developer to join our team working on mission-critical systems where security and reliability are paramount. This is a 6-month contract position with a well-established company building cutting-edge distributed systems.

What You'll Do:

Create Golang-based microservices and libraries for production environments
Perform code reviews and contribute to team coding standards and best practices
Architect, build, and operate distributed systems at scale
Design and implement secure APIs with a focus on security best practices
Evaluate and implement testing approaches for both cloud and embedded systems
Work with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) in production
Deploy and secure applications and sensitive data in AWS cloud environments
Troubleshoot network issues across routers, firewalls, and switches

What We're Looking For

Required:

8+ years of programming experience (Golang, Python, or similar)
Strong production experience with Golang and microservices architecture
Deep understanding of API design and implementation with security practices
Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services
Production experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Proven ability to architect, build, and operate distributed systems
Working knowledge of PKI and secure communication systems
Solid understanding of Linux operating system and command line
Network troubleshooting experience with routers, firewalls, and switches
Strong communication skills for giving and receiving constructive feedback

Nice to Have:

Experience in automotive, IoT, or embedded systems
Background in regulated or security-sensitive industries
Python programming experience
Terraform or infrastructure-as-code experience
