Description

As a Web Developer Intern, you will work alongside our Senior Web Developer on a variety of projects that span across WordPress development, PHP scripting. This role is designed for a motivated individual eager to gain hands-on experience in front-end web development and enhance their technical skills in a real-world environment.

Responsibilities

WordPress Development

Assist in building and maintaining WordPress websites, ensuring responsive design and optimal user experience.
Support the customization and development of WordPress themes and plugins using PHP and JavaScript.
Participate in the creation and integration of web forms, content updates, and site enhancements.
Introduction to responsive design and cross-browser compatibility

Backend and API Development

Help manage and optimize MySQL databases for data storage and retrieval in WordPress applications.
Support the integration of third-party services and APIs to enhance site functionality and user experience.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth website performance.

Learning and Development

Engage in learning new programming languages and technologies, with a focus on WordPress, HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP,
Participate in code reviews, team workshops, and collaborative projects to develop a deeper understanding of web development.

Requirements

SOFT SKILLS

Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
Good communication skills for effective collaboration with the development team.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or relevant coursework in server-side development).
Familiarity with backend programming languages such as PHP or SQL.
Interest in learning about server-side software engineering, databases, and API development.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus but not required.
