Job Specifications
Our client is seeking a certified Salesforce Developer to join our growing internal Salesforce team in Conshohocken, PA. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days onsite per week and candidates must be local to the Philadelphia/Conshohocken area.
This position represents a key step in transitioning Salesforce ownership from an external consulting partner to an internal team. The developer will work closely “hip-to-hip” with our Salesforce Business Systems Analyst (BSA) and consulting firm to support enhancements, testing, integrations, and ongoing system improvements as we expand Salesforce usage across additional divisions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level Salesforce Developer who can hit the ground running and grow with the organization as Salesforce adoption scales beyond the current 100-user environment.
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Development (70%)
Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and platform configuration
Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
Develop and enhance Apex classes, triggers, LWCs, and Flows following Salesforce best practices
Support integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST APIs and middleware platforms (Boomi and ERP integrations)
Write clean, well-documented code with appropriate test coverage
Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards
Utilize GitHub for version control and collaborate on code deployments
Salesforce Administration & Support (30%)
Support testing, troubleshooting, and enhancements in partnership with the Salesforce consulting firm
Assist with production support, bug fixes, and performance improvements
Support user onboarding and system rollout to new business divisions over time
Assist with configuration updates including validation rules, workflows, page layouts, and security settings
Help ensure system stability, scalability, and performance as adoption grows
Collaboration & Growth
Work closely and daily with the internal Salesforce BSA in a highly collaborative, hands-on environment
Partner with the consulting firm during the transition to in-house ownership
Assist with Salesforce rollout and adoption to additional divisions and users
Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, and enhancement planning
Provide input on best practices and system improvements as the internal Salesforce capability matures
Team Structure
This role will be the second internal Salesforce team member
Work directly alongside a dedicated Salesforce BSA
Partner with an external Salesforce consulting firm during the transition period
Play a key role in building internal Salesforce expertise and reducing reliance on consultants
Required Qualifications
Certifications & Experience
Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification (required)
3–5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience preferred
Experience working in environments transitioning from consulting to in-house Salesforce ownership is a plus
Technical Skills – Required
Strong Apex development experience
Strong Lightning Web Components (LWC) experience
Experience developing and supporting REST API integrations
Experience working with middleware integrations (Boomi or similar strongly preferred)
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and platform best practices
Experience using GitHub or similar version control systems
Experience supporting enhancements, testing, and production environments
Technical Skills – Preferred
Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
Experience working in integrated ERP environments
Experience working in Agile development environments
Experience with CI/CD and deployment best practices
Top 3 Required Technical Skills
