Who You Will Work With:

As a Cloud Operations Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments. This role reports to the Leader of Product Enablement, Cloud Strategy & Transformation and combines expertise in cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, and security-focused DevSecOps practices to ensure operational excellence across cloud platforms. In this critical vacant position, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Canadian payment systems, driving innovation and reliability in cloud operations.

What You Will Do:

Administration of cloud environments, managing cloud services and cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Responding promptly to operational issues, performing troubleshooting and corrective actions, ensuring minimal downtime.
Driving Infrastructure-as-Code adoption and automation to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
Enforcing security policies for cloud operations ensuring they meet organizational and regulatory standards.
Supporting migration strategies and modernization initiatives for enterprise workloads.
Leading root cause analysis for critical incidents and implementing preventive measures.
Assisting internal customers in using cloud services effectively, including creating reports, managing service requests, and ensuring efficient use of cloud resources.
Supporting disaster recovery, business continuity, data backup and restoration activities, and ensuring the integrity and availability of the cloud environments.
Creating and maintaining documentation for cloud operations processes and procedures.
Collaborating with engineering, security, and product teams to align cloud strategies with business objectives.
Evaluating emerging technologies and recommending solutions to enhance cloud reliability and security.

What You Bring:

A university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
6+ years in CloudOps, SRE or DevSecOps roles.
Expert-level knowledge of AWS, Azure cloud infrastructure management, including core AWS, Azure services, cloud-based technologies, covering data storage, networking, and cyber security.
Expert-level knowledge of container management and container orchestration solutions (Kubernetes).
Solid understanding of networking concepts and virtualized environments within AWS/Azure.
Experience with implementing and managing security controls, deep understanding of security frameworks, compliance standards, and risk management.
Knowledge of database operations and AWS/Azure managed database services.
Strong proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Advanced scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash).
Experience with enterprise-grade monitoring and observability tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, Datadog).
Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
Ability to work on-call hours for support.

The hiring range for this position is $120K-$140K, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan.
