Department Summary

Product Management is responsible for the planning of US passenger cars, SUVs, and exclusive vehicle lines at all stages of the product lifecycle. In addition, PM focuses on maximizing sales and profit performance through the development, implementation, and maintenance of customer-driven short-,mid-, and long-term strategic and product plans for the assigned product lines.

Mercedes-Benz USA Product Management Junior Associate Consultant Overview and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Junior Associate Consultant to join our Product Management team. In this role, you will support our senior team members by collecting and analyzing data, making reports, and providing basic insights to help our business decisions for future Mercedes-Benz products.

Key responsibilities:

Help collect and organize data about car sales, customers, and the US automotive market
Assist in analyzing data to find useful trends and patterns within the industry
Make charts, graphs, and product studies to share with the team
Support business development strategies
Work closely with other Product Managers and data experts
Support with overall department tasks
Prepare reports and presentations for Top Management meetings
Workshop preparation and support
Prepare reports and presentations for client meetings.

Qualifikationen

What We're Looking For:

Coursework or a degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience with Python or R, PBI Desktop to work with data.
Knowledge of Excel, DAX, SQL, or data visualization tools (like Tableau or Power BI).
Interest in data analysis and how it can help a business.
Good teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

Experience with similar projects, internships, jobs or consulting work.
Interest in the automotive industry.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably Master)
Available from mid March 2026 to September 2026, with the possibility of extending for another 6 months
In-person schedule, up to 28 hours maximum per week
German as additional foreign language is a plus

Preferred Skillset:

Sales / Product / Project background
Analytical skills
Very good IT skills
Comfortable with numbers and calculations
Motivated and able to work with limited supervision
Good knowledge about the car industry including own MB and competitor products
Familiarity with sales methods and evaluations and as well data analysis
Well organized working style with high degree of self-motivation
Ability to handle simultaneous tasks under deadline pressure
Driven-to win, open-minded, team player with positive ‘can do’ attitude
Ability and flexibility to work cooperatively with others to foster trust and accomplish goals
Excellent communicator with a high degree of cross-functional understanding of job responsibilities among business

partners and stakeholders

Strong oral and written communication skills.
