Senior Software Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Up to £75,000 + Benefits
Contract: Permanent
Currently working with a client on a requirement for a Senior Software Engineer, to join a high-performing engineering team transforming the energy sector. This role is perfect for an experienced engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and delivering high-quality software solutions that make a tangible impact for customers and the wider market. As a Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing, integrating, and optimising core product features across web and mobile platforms. You’ll work closely with product, UX/UI, and backend teams to ensure seamless experiences and contribute to building scalable, reliable, and automated SaaS solutions. You will play a key role in implementing modern technologies, AI-driven features, and cloud-native architectures to deliver products that support a cleaner, greener energy market.
Role Requirements
Strong expertise in Next.js, TypeScript, React / React Native, PostgreSQL, and Cloud.
Experience with cloud hosting, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and GitHub version control.
Knowledge of AI/LLM integration to enhance product features and automation capabilities.
Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimise complex applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborative mindset, comfortable working in Agile teams with excellent communication and adaptability.
Experience or interest in mechanical/thermal engineering.
