OVERVIEW:

Summer interns will complete a 10-week internship located full-time on site in Middletown, CT. Liberty Bank is proud to host a dynamic and diverse internship program designed to cultivate the next generation of banking and finance professionals. Through this immersive internship, participants will have the opportunity to work closely with seasoned professionals, contribute to real world projects and develop essential skills that will prepare them for successful careers in the financial services industry and beyond!

SUMMARY OF THE JOB:

We are looking for a highly motivated teammate ready to start contributing to the success of Liberty Bank. The Data & Analytics intern will be responsible for meeting with teammates to understand needs, analyze the ask, and design/architect solutions to meet the needs of supported lines of business. The intern will have the opportunity to deliver data driven insights in the form of metrics, reports, and presentations with a variety of tools to solve real business issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Collaboration with teammates
Assist in developing dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
Deep dive on data to gain understanding
Identify gaps in reporting, opportunities for improvement, and propose solutions
Maintain documentation, note data anomalies, and implement best practices
Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Preferred candidates to be majoring in Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Data Science.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office
Proven analytical skills
Proven critical thinking skills
Strong organizational skills
Familiarity with data mining tools, and data visualization tools is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

General Office Equipment
Keyboard Dexterity
Lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs.
Ability to travel.
