My name is Avery, and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group. We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Material Handler for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Fairport, NY of the position are as follows:
Job Description:
Pay: $21.43-20
6-month assignment, Possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and budget
Mon-Fri 6AM-2:30PM
The position will be responsible for staging, moving, counting, and coordinating materials to support production schedules, minimize shortages, and maintain accurate inventory records.
The position will act as a key liaison between planning, warehousing, PSA (Production Supply Area), and the production floor.
The position will pull, stage, and deliver materials to production lines according to work orders and pick lists.
The position will replenish production supply areas using FIFO principles and proper bin management
The position will move Work-In-Progress between operations, adhering to routing instructions and priority schedules.
The position will perform material transactions (issues, returns, and transfers) within SAP/S4/EWM
The position will support cycle counts and physical inventory efforts including PSA and WIP accuracy checks.
The position will validate bin quantities, identify discrepancies, and escalate issues as necessary.
The position will monitor material shortages, track critical parts, and escalate risks for red/yellow materials.
The position will collaborate with planners, buyers, supervisors, and warehouse teams to address urgent material needs.
The position will participate in clear to build review to confirm material availability
The position will expeditated internal work in progress and supplier deliveries to ensure production schedule adherence.
The position will maintain visual controls for PSA bins, kanban boards, and ensure compliance with 5S standards.
The position will ensure compliance with documentation standards and support audit readiness.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required!
2+ years of experience in a material handling, inventory management, or manufacturing environment Required!
Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted Required!
Experience working in cleanroom/PPE environments Preferred!
Previous experience with ERP systems such as SAP or EWM Preferred!
