Role: Data Solutions Architect (Mid-Level / Associate)

Location: United Kingdom (Hybrid / Client-site as required)

Contract: Inside IR35 | £400–£480 per day

Duration : 12 Months

Role Overview

This is a mid-level contract role suitable for architects with 5–8 years’ experience.

We are looking for a motivated Data Solutions Architect to support the design and delivery of modern data platforms across enterprise environments.

This role is suited to candidates with strong hands-on experience in cloud and data engineering who are developing their solution architecture capability.

You will work closely with delivery teams, senior architects, and stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and reliable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Support the design of cloud-based data platforms and analytics solutions
Contribute to data lake, warehouse, and streaming architecture design
Define data ingestion and processing patterns
Assist with HLD and LLD documentation
Work with engineering teams during implementation
Support performance, scalability, and security design
Participate in design reviews and governance activities
Ensure alignment with data protection and security standards

Technical Responsibilities

Design and support solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP
Work with tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka, Synapse, or Redshift
Support ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows
Contribute to CI/CD and DataOps practices
Assist with cost optimisation and monitoring

Governance & Compliance

Support solutions aligned with UK GDPR and security standards
Implement basic data security and access controls
Assist with data quality and lineage practices

Required Experience & Skills

5–8 years experience in data engineering, cloud, or analytics roles
2+ years exposure to solution or data architecture
Experience with cloud data platforms
Strong SQL and Python skills
Understanding of data modelling and integration patterns
Experience working in Agile delivery teams
Good communication and documentation skills

Nice to Have

Telecom / large enterprise experience
Databricks / Snowflake certifications
AWS / Azure certifications
Streaming data exposure
