JOB DESCRIPTION
The SCADA Expert Engineer will join the newly established GTS SCADA Management Squad, responsible for overseeing the Euroclear SCADA environment. This environment is critical for managing and monitoring Euroclear’s offices and data centers, covering three main domains: Physical Security (e.g., CCTV, building access), building management systems (e.g., heating, cooling), and IoT solutions (e.g., smart lockers).
Currently, the Euroclear domain supports approximately 1,800 devices and 9 main applications, with rapid growth in recent years. These devices operate within a dedicated network zone to ensure isolation and security.
Unlike traditional IT, the SCADA domain manages industrial systems, and many suppliers lack the necessary IT and security expertise to meet Euroclear’s standards. There is also a growing demand to integrate SCADA devices with Euroclear IT systems (such as ServiceNow and access management).
The new Squad will drive the integration of Operational Technology (OT) landscapes with business IT, ensure compliance with Euroclear security controls (including TSB, secure images, vulnerability and access management), document processes and projects, and plan for future evolution.
Your Role
The SCADA Expert Engineer will be responsible for the configuration and maintenance of the SCADA technical solutions (Building Management Systems and Physical Security), the development of the D2D management and SCF (Secure Control Framework) integration, the continuous technical evolution of the SCADA technical environment to cope with Euroclear IT standards.
Success in this position requires expertise in IT integration and security, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively to resolve technical issues.
Primary Duties
Install, configure and maintain SCADA technical solutions (BMS and Physical Security). Hardware and Software
Manage the integration of the SCADA solutions (IT & OT) with the Euroclear processes: Vulnerability management, Certificate management, Access management, TSB creation
Ensure the technical evolution of the different solutions: implement supported versions
Review SCADA infrastructure with internal teams (Workplace Support, Corporate Security, CISO Architecture, and GTS Network) and SCADA Technical Lead engineer
Automate and optimize SCADA operations
Develop integrated automation solutions
Provide on-call and weekend operational support
Qualifications- Required Knowledge & Skills
Degree in Computer Science / Engineering Technology (Electronics or Computer Science)
Minimum 3 years of experience in the IT infrastructure field
Knowledge of SCADA technologies (Building Management Systems and Physical Security) is an asset
Basic knowledge of Network and IT security is an asset
Ability to work analytically in a problem-solving environment
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Fluent in English (French and/or Dutch is a plus)

Ability to function in a team-oriented environment
This position requires an individual with good communication (both verbal and written), organizational, and analytical / problem-solving skills
The individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform tasks with a high degree of quality, while following existing processes and operational procedures
Additionally, the position requires the ability to work with members of other teams and staff to meet all necessary department and organizational goals
Position available in Paris or Brussels
