Microsoft Certified Azure Cloud Administrator / Engineer

Long term contract in Fort Worth

Open to USC or Green Card Candidates Only

Hourly W2 Rate starting at $60-65/hour

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Administrator/Engineer to support and evolve our enterprise cloud platform. This individual will play a key role in architecting, implementing, automating, and optimizing secure and scalable cloud environments across Azure (primary) and AWS (secondary).

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps automation, cloud security, governance, cost optimization, and hybrid connectivity. This role will directly contribute to cloud modernization initiatives and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Engineering

Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure including VNets, VMs, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, App Services, AKS, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, and Event Grid.
Support hybrid and multi-cloud environments (Azure + AWS).
Implement Hub-and-Spoke network architectures with proper NSG and firewall policies.
Configure ExpressRoute, VPN, VPC peering, and secure connectivity solutions.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and ARM templates.
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
Automate deployments and operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Standardize environment provisioning across development, QA, and production.

DevOps & Containerization

Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS).
Support Azure App Services (Windows/Linux) and serverless architectures.
Implement release pipelines for application deployments and artifact management.

Security & Governance

Implement Azure security best practices including:
RBAC and IAM policies
Key Vault / KMS encryption management
Azure Defender / Security Center
Policy enforcement and governance frameworks
Support compliance requirements (ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR).
Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits.

Monitoring & Incident Management

Configure monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, AWS CloudWatch, ELK stack.
Troubleshoot production incidents and lead root cause analysis efforts.
Implement proactive alerting and performance optimization strategies.

Cost Optimization & FinOps

Analyze and optimize cloud spend through:
Reserved Instances
Resource right-sizing
Automated shutdown scheduling
Usage analytics and reporting
Drive cloud cost efficiency initiatives across business units.

Data & Integration (Preferred)

Experience with Azure Data Factory, data pipelines, and ETL processes.
Deploy and manage Azure SQL, PostgreSQL/MySQL Flexible Server.
Support event-driven and messaging architectures.

Required Qualifications

6+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience
Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure
Experience supporting AWS environments
Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform required)
Experience building CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of cloud networking and security principles
Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
Experience supporting production environments
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
