Hiring : Senior Full Stack Developer (Contract)
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days home)
Contract Term: 1 year with potential of extension for an additional 4 months

Compensation: $80.00-$100.00 per hour
About the Role
Stafingo is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer for one of their reputable public sector clients in Ontario to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise-scale healthcare applications. This role will work within a cross-functional Agile environment and may take on technical leadership responsibilities for key initiatives.
The successful candidate will contribute to both large-scale transformation projects and ongoing operational support, including modernization efforts, cloud enablement, and data-driven systems.
Key Responsibilities
Translate technical system specifications and user stories into well-tested, high-quality applications
Design, develop, enhance, and support . NET-based web applications
Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and other Developers
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across application and database layers
Participate in solution design, technical reviews, and vendor evaluations
Create and maintain technical design documents, deployment guides, and configuration documentation
Contribute to knowledge transfer activities and walkthroughs before engagement completion
Key Projects
eClaims Expansion Project
Develop SQL scripts to migrate data from legacy systems to a new multi-tenant database
Perform data validation and transformation during migration
Optimize complex legacy SQL queries using modern SQL techniques
Build and maintain tabular SSRS reports and supporting stored procedures
Develop MVC pages using Entity Framework to support application functionality
Provincial Genomics Data Platform
Develop high-quality solutions using Python and SQL Server
Address security vulnerabilities and provide technical documentation
Provide technical input during vendor evaluation and solution planning phases
Required Technical Skills
Full Stack Development
8+ years of hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC (4.8 or later)
Experience with Entity Framework and ASP.NET Web Forms
Strong front-end skills using JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
Database & Reporting
8+ years of extensive experience with SQL Server
Advanced expertise in writing and optimizing complex stored procedures and SQL queries
Strong experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) – building and maintaining reports
Cloud & DevOps
Experience with Azure PaaS services, including App Services, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Functions, and API Management
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows
Programming
Strong proficiency in Python, with a focus on clean, maintainable, and secure code
Methodologies & Soft Skills
Demonstrated expertise across the full Agile software development lifecycle
Strong collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to analyze requirements, documentation, and existing systems to define target-state solutions
Experience producing clear technical documentation and deployment guides
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
