For an European institution in Brussels, Belgium, we are looking for a hybrid Senior QA Test Engineer. Candidates need to have +3 years of experience with test automation technologies, tools and techniques and +5 years of experience with defining and documenting Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Results.

Candidates need to be based in Belgium or willing to relocate to Brussels, when coming from abroad. Candidates need to be willing to work 1-2 days on-site.

Candidates need to be fluent in English. A work permit is not provided. This position is open for contractors.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Elaboration and maintenance of IS quality control procedures;
Provision of quality plans and service level agreements;
IS Quality control and evaluation;
Provision of quality studies, quality assessments or other quality matters associated with information system projects;
Definition, elaboration, management and reporting of quality tests;
Advice on quality improvements;
Assistance in the implementation of project management methodology;
Coordination of test campaigns;

Profile:

Bachelor or Master degree;
+7 years of IT experience in IT;
+5 years of experience with defining and documenting Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Results;
+3 years of experience with test automation technologies, tools and techniques;
Experience (at least 3 years) in working in Agile/Sprint based IT project methodologies;
Experience (at least 1 year) with data quality checking when such data is stored in databases and/or data lakes using SQL or similar languages;
Knowledge of a tool for web application testing tool, like WebdriverIO, Selenium or Protractor
Expert in manual and automated testing technologies, tools and techniques;
Good knowledge of information system quality assurance, quality control practices, quality procedures;
Good knowledge of information systems lifecycle;
Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. Agile);
Knowledge of Test Management and Defect Tracking tools;
Certification in ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager is an advantage;
Fluent in English;
