Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Location: Nottingham

Contract: 12 months fixed term, maternity cover (immediate start would be beneficial)

Our Client: Multi-Vendor IT Reseller & Managed Services Provider / VAR

We are searching for a Supply Chain Manager to cover a period of maternity leave and nurture trusted & strategically aligned supply chain relationships that strengthen commercial performance, enhance operational accountability, whilst maximising value delivery across the business’ vendor & distributor ecosystem.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Strategic Supplier Relationship Manager:

Act as the primary contact for key supply chain partners, building strong, trusted relationships around shared goals.
Lead regular business reviews, monitor supplier performance, drive continuous improvement, and manage RFQ/RFP activity to ensure fair and commercially robust supplier selection.

Supplier Onboarding, Management & Governance:

Lead supplier onboarding, offboarding and rationalisation activities.
Manage supplier changes, compliance requirements, and oversee non‑conformance issues through to resolution.

Internal Procurement:

Coordinate internal procurement processes ensuring timely, compliant and cost-effective sourcing.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support forecasting, operational needs and smooth procurement workflows.
Maintain procurement templates, documentation and operational tools to drive accuracy, efficiency and continuous improvement.
Govern the approved supplier list, ensuring purchasing routes align with commercial policy, category strategy and contractual obligations.

Operational Excellence & Supply Chain Efficiency:

Develop sourcing strategies aligned with business goals and operational priorities.
Analyse spend data, support process improvements, and contribute to service stock management and lead time optimisation.

Risk, Compliance & Performance Management:

Monitor and manage supplier risks, non‑conformities, and overall accountability across partnerships.
Track and advise on credit line availability, including trends and potential pinch points.
Ensure rebate agreements are in place, proactively maintained and fully validated.

Skills & Experience:

Experience as a Supply Chain Manager or similar is essential.
Experience within a Technology Reseller, Technology Distributor, or a business with a similar procurement process is highly desirable.
Operational and commercial supply chain experience, with a strong understanding of how to maximise opportunities and build effective strategies across multiple engagements.
Excellent communications skills with the ability to gain buy‑in and build relationships at all levels.
A proactive and hands-on problem solver with experience of understanding and simplifying complex issues, translating them into actionable tasks that deliver strategically aligned value.
Flexible, positive and adaptable, with the resilience, commitment and growth mindset needed to thrive in a fast‑paced and competitive environment.
Well‑organised, able to prioritise effectively, set clear agendas, take the lead, and consistently deliver strong performance.
