Aplin has partnered with a leading organization to recruit a Plant Engineer for a 6-month contract opportunity. The Plant Engineer will provide engineering and technical support at an industrial power generation facility. This role works closely with maintenance, operations, and project teams to support ongoing plant reliability and asset performance.

About the Position

Number of Vacancies: 1
Contract Duration: 6 months
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Location: Atikokan, Ontario (100% on-site)
Hourly Rate: $ 65 – $75 /hr depending on experience  plus per diem 
Key Responsibilities

Providing maintenance support to the mechanical maintenance team
Supporting mechanical projects, including project initiation reports, technical specifications, and technical assistance
Performing asset management activities, including equipment life-extension initiatives
Supporting plant operations, including developing procedures and providing operational guidance for plant equipment
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 4 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial facilities, or power plant operations
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario is preferred
Candian Security Clearance is required by this client.  
Thermal power plant experience strongly preferred
