What You'll Do

Phase 1 (Development - Primary Focus):

Define Individual Income Tax Logic and Requirements: Provide the critical tax information, business rules, and compliance logic that our software will be built upon. This is the core "flow" of data and decisions the application must handle.
Ensure IRS Compliance: Validate that all defined tax workflows, calculations, and outputs adhere to current IRS regulations.
Collaborate with the Product Team: Work with UX designers and developers to ensure the application's user journey ("user flow") accurately reflects the necessary tax preparation steps.
Quality Assurance: Test and verify the accuracy of the software's tax calculations and data processing.
Guide E-Filing Specifications (preferred): Provide expert guidance on requirements and specifications for integrating with IRS e-file systems.

Phase 2 (Service Delivery):

Provide tax preparation services to international clients
Handle expatriate tax scenarios
Support customer success initiatives

Required Qualifications:

2+ years US tax preparation experience
Individual tax filing expertise: Forms 1040, 2555, 1116, 8938, 8833, FBAR, etc.
IRS e-filing access (preferred) or ability to obtain
International/expatriate tax experience
E-filing platform knowledge (preferred) (TurboTax, Sprintax, etc.)
Startup mindset - adaptable and solution-oriented
Available for collaboration hours with European team (flexible)

Qualifications

CPA, EA, or tax professional certification
Experience with tax software workflows
Interest in technology and automation
Multilingual capabilities a plus
