Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Dynatrace Automation Specialist

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)

We are seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with deep expertise in Dynatrace automation and CI/CD integration. This role focuses on automating large-scale observability deployments, embedding monitoring into the software development lifecycle, and driving system resiliency through automation and reliability engineering best practices.

This is not a monitoring administration role - we are looking for a strong automation engineer who can operationalize observability at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Dynatrace Automation

Automate deployment and scaling of Dynatrace across hybrid cloud environments
Standardize implementations using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Ansible)
Implement automated tagging and metadata governance

CI/CD & Observability-as-Code

Integrate Dynatrace into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline, etc.)
Implement automated quality gates and performance validations
Embed observability into the application lifecycle

Resiliency & Reliability Engineering

Define and manage SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
Design and execute automated resiliency and disaster recovery testing
Develop self-healing automation and anomaly detection
Lead incident response and root cause analysis
Maintain clear documentation and operational runbooks

Required Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in SRE or DevOps roles
Strong hands-on experience automating Dynatrace deployments
Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code tools
Experience integrating observability into CI/CD pipelines
Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages
Experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS
Strong Linux systems and networking fundamentals
