Job Description

Position Title: Electronic Security Technician

Location: Petersburg / VA Beach

Position Status: 5-month contract to permanent

Schedule: M-F (7am – 5pm, may need to handle service calls as required) + No weekends

Overview: Our client is looking for an Electronic Security Technician. They are a fast-paced, rapidly growing organization that has cultivated an environment where driven self-starters thrive in!

Requirements

Install cabling and card readers, mount equipment, door contact and strikes, intrusion detection, CCTV equipment, and access control systems.
Possess a functional understanding of low voltage systems and relays.
Use diagnostic equipment/software and established troubleshooting techniques to isolate equipment failures and resolve performance issues.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other specifications.
High School Diploma or equivalent vocational training preferred.
Current DCJS registration or the ability to obtain.
Holds a valid Driver License and have a clean driving record.
Must pass Background Check and Drug Screen.
