Due to succession plans within the automation team, they are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual that wants to train and develop themselves.
As a Control System Engineer you role and responsibilities will be:
Responsible for maintaining, repairing and rectifying faults on all site electrical and electronic controls systems : PLCs, HMis, Robotics, Network Systems, Servo Systems
PLC : electrical fault finding, modifications, basic programming
Work closely with shift engineering team on rectifying major PLC / electrical issues
Electrical installation, commissioning, upgrades on control panels, testing and inspections
Project work : design and development of obsolete motion control systems, PLCs, network systems
Design and modifications of existing electrical systems
Key knowledge, skills and experience for a Control System Engineer:
Must have at least 5 years experience controls / automation experience
PLC : electrical fault finding and diagnostics
Electrical installation, commissioning, testing and inspection
Must have completed a time:served:apprenticeship : Level 3 or higher
18th Edition : beneficial
Dealt with network systems, HMis, servo systems
Be a flexible character : happy to occasionally cover shifts if needed
Ideally have worked in food manufacturing but not essential
Must have excellent problem solving skills and understanding of relevant codes/regulations
