Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Developer to build, deploy, and maintain high-scale, cloud-native applications. This role is for a technical expert who combines backend engineering mastery with a deep understanding of cloud architecture, ensuring our systems are as reliable and efficient as our fleet.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud-Native Development

Build & Deploy: Design and develop scalable backend applications using Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.
AWS Core Services: Expertly utilize Lambda, API Gateway, and EC2 to build resilient microservices.
Data Management: Implement and manage data storage solutions using S3, RDS, and DynamoDB.

2. Infrastructure & Automation

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Standardize environments using Terraform or CloudFormation.
CI/CD Mastery: Own the deployment lifecycle using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
Observability: Monitor application health and performance using AWS CloudWatch.

3. Architecture & Integration

RESTful Services: Design and implement robust REST APIs following cloud-native principles.
Modernization: Leverage containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and event-driven patterns (SQS, SNS, Kinesis) to enhance system agility.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 8+ years in IT; 5+ years of dedicated hands-on AWS development.
Languages: Proficiency in Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.
DevOps Toolkit: Proven experience with IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
Cloud Architecture: Solid understanding of REST APIs and scalable system design.
Logistics: Must be able to work 3 days onsite in Atlanta, GA.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications: AWS Developer Associate or Solutions Architect Associate.
Streaming: Experience with Kinesis or event-driven messaging.
Agile: Experience working in a high-velocity Scrum environment.
