Senior Technical Platforms Consultant

Location: Belfast / Hybrid | Permanent / Salary: £40,000 + Benefits

Our client is a technology-focused organisation supporting large-scale, data-driven platforms for enterprise customers. They are seeking a Senior Technical Platforms Consultant to help manage, improve, and modernise critical systems.

This role combines hands-on technical work with long-term platform development and cloud transformation projects.

This role is hybrid with 2 days week in the Belfast office.

As a Senior Technical Platforms Consultant, you will:

Take ownership of complex platform and infrastructure environments
Design, support, and enhance cloud and hybrid systems
Manage and optimise SQL Server platforms for performance and reliability
Implement monitoring, automation, and resilience solutions
Support high-availability and disaster recovery frameworks
Collaborate with development teams, stakeholders, and clients
Act as a senior escalation point for technical issues
Contribute to architecture and technology roadmap decisions

About You

You are an experienced infrastructure and platform professional with strong cloud and systems expertise.

You will ideally bring:

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid environments
Strong knowledge of Windows Server infrastructure
Working experience with SQL Server platforms
Understanding of HA, DR, and business continuity solutions
Exposure to monitoring and observability tooling
Ability to work across legacy and modern systems
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive, solution-focused approach

Desirable (Nice to Have)

PowerShell or automation experience
Familiarity with DevOps or CI/CD practices
Experience in consulting or client-facing roles
Exposure to enterprise SaaS platforms
