Position: Principal Embedded Software Engineer – Embedded C++
Location: Boulder, Colorado, USA (Day 1 Onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Experience Required: 10+ Years
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and test software/firmware for embedded systems using C++ & Python
• Analyze existing system architecture and integrate new features
• Work with RTOS to optimize real-time processing performance
• Hardware–software integration for optimal system performance
• Board bring-up, troubleshooting, and firmware porting on new hardware
• Debug complex issues using JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HW, SW, QA, Product)
• Maintain technical documentation across full lifecycle
• Manage source code using Git (branching, merging, repos)
Required Skills
• 10+ years of Embedded Software development (Senior/Principal level)
• Strong expertise in C++ OOP & advanced features
• Multi-process & multi-threaded Linux application experience
• DSP algorithm design, implementation, and optimization
• Experience optimizing for memory & CPU-constrained embedded targets
• Strong RTOS experience
• Experience with DSP tools & debugging environments
• Knowledge of linear algebra libraries (matrices, vectors, solvers)
• Familiarity with microcontrollers, DSP processors & FPGA interfacing
• Agile development experience & strong Git usage
