Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a full-lifecycle Agile development team supporting enterprise initiatives. The analyst will collaborate with subject matter experts, technical teams, and business stakeholders to translate strategic and operational objectives into clear business and technical requirements. This role focuses on business process analysis, solution design support, documentation, testing coordination, and prioritization of initiatives based on business value and feasibility.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and problem-solver who can bridge business and IT teams, facilitate discussions, and guide projects from ideation through approval and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Work with stakeholders and SMEs to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
Conduct business needs assessments and translate them into functional and technical specifications
Develop business cases, use cases, test cases, cost estimates, and feasibility analyses
Document and diagram business processes, workflows, and system dependencies
Perform gap analysis and recommend process improvements and modernization strategies
Facilitate workshops and requirement elicitation sessions
Support Agile ceremonies and backlog prioritization based on business value and strategic alignment
Coordinate and support testing activities including regression, functional, integration, performance, and data validation testing
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Communication, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 5 years of business and systems analysis experience
Strong experience with requirements gathering and documentation
Proficiency in process modeling using Visio or similar tools
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications
Knowledge of data migration concepts and validation processes
Experience with testing and QA methodologies
Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI
Preferred Qualifications
Agile project experience
Experience using Azure DevOps / Microsoft DevOps for backlog and requirement management
Knowledge of change and release management practices
Familiarity with Florida Administrative Code Rules 60GG-1 – 60GG-5
Professional certifications such as CSM, CSO, CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMI-ACP, PMP, or ITIL
