Job Title: Cloud Architect

Location: Toronto, ON (4x onsite a week)

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate: CAD$60/HR INC

Responsibilities

Job Description:

Design and develop high level architecture for software applications using Java 11.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into architectural designs.
Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform.
Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance to development teams on best practices.
Ensure that the architecture aligns with business goals and technical standards.
Mentor junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Mandatory Skills

Strong expertise in Java 11, including its features and best practices.
Proven experience in software architecture and design patterns.
Deep understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of front end technologies (Angular, React, or Vue.js).
Experience in Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7 10 years of experience in software development and architecture.
Relevant certifications in architecture or cloud technologies are a plus.
