Job Title: GCP Cloud Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON (3x onsite a week)

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate: CAD$50/HR INC

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Engineer with strong Kubernetes expertise to design, build, and manage cloud-native infrastructure and systems on Google Cloud Platform.

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with GKE, containerization, IaC, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters, preferably using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
Work extensively with GCP services including:
Compute Engine
GKE
Cloud Load Balancing
IAM, VPC, Cloud DNS
Cloud Monitoring & Logging
Implement containerization best practices using Docker.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
Administer Linux environments with strong knowledge of networking and security fundamentals.
Work with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools to support deployment automation.
Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Go.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and GKE
Expertise in core Google Cloud Platform services
Proficiency in Docker
Experience with Terraform / IaC
Strong understanding of Linux, networking, and cloud security
CI/CD and DevOps tooling experience
Scripting knowledge in Bash, Python, or Go
