The Role
As a Manhattan Active Technical Consultant, you will work across configuration, testing, deployment, and post‑implementation production support for Manhattan Active and Manhattan WMOS platforms. The role supports a leading UK retailer spanning clothing, general merchandise, and food businesses, using Manhattan Warehouse Management solutions to optimise warehouse operations, resource utilisation, and customer experience. You will be involved in Manhattan Active migration initiatives, day‑to‑day operational support, and direct engagement with business stakeholders and product vendors.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as a Manhattan WMOS consultant responsible for production code deployments, critical issue analysis, debugging, and process improvement implementation.
• Support Manhattan Active migration from legacy WMS platforms.
• Work directly with customers to understand business requirements and address day‑to‑day warehouse operations.
• Implement and fine‑tune Manhattan configuration changes to optimise warehouse resource utilisation and improve customer experience.
• Coordinate with product vendors on defect identification, replication in test environments, customisation, and monitoring of delivered fixes and patches.
Your Profile
Essential skills / knowledge / experience
• Experience with Manhattan Active, or strong experience with Manhattan WMOS including inbound, outbound, and inventory management functionalities.
• Knowledge of the Manhattan Active / WMOS file system and database structure.
• Hands‑on experience with SDN installation, Config Director, and testing configuration changes.
• Hands‑on experience building APIs using Postman.
• Good understanding of retail supply chain processes.
Desirable skills / knowledge / experience
• Experience with SQL, including stored procedure analysis and enhancement.
• Experience developing Unix shell scripts or Python scripts.
