Regional Vice President, Business Development
**Role Summary**
Lead the strategic growth and profitability of the regional business development function by overseeing a high‑performance sales organization, driving integrated benefits solutions across Ontario, and cultivating advisory partnerships to achieve revenue and client impact targets.
**Expectations**
- Own and execute a data‑driven regional growth plan aligned with revenue, profitability, and client satisfaction.
- Deliver measurable business outcomes, including sales growth, market share, and profitability.
- Represent the organization in market intelligence, legislative, and industry discussions.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop, communicate, and maintain the annual regional business plan; monitor progress and report results to senior leadership.
- Lead, coach, and scale Corporate Account, Brokerage, and Group Sales teams to exceed sales and profitability targets.
- Position integrated benefits and health delivery value propositions, translating competitive, regulatory, and product intelligence into actionable market plays.
- Build and deepen trust‑based relationships with advisors, consultants, and key stakeholders to accelerate new business and increase client persistency.
- Elevate sales operations: refine prospecting cadence, RFP strategy, and finalist execution; drive Salesforce adoption and robust pipeline analytics.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Client Services, and Underwriting to influence product roadmaps, launch initiatives, and seamless implementation of new business.
- Serve as the organization’s market voice, providing insights on competitive, legislative, and distribution trends to inform go‑to‑market strategies.
**Required Skills**
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership in group benefits, insurance, or financial services.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding multi‑year revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
- Deep expertise in benefits products, enterprise sales cycles, and channel management.
- Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team‑motivation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Salesforce and sales analytics.
- Superior communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Benefits Professional, Chartered Life Underwriter) preferred but not mandatory.
