**Software Engineer III (Contract)** **Role Summary**: Lead design, development, and production of proprietary investment models and related tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support investment decision-making, trading, and back-office operations. **Expectations**: 6-month contract term with potential full-time conversion. Requires supervision of junior engineers and delivery of high-quality code with industry-standard best practices. **Key Responsibilities** - Engineer innovative software solutions for technical and business needs. - Own end-to-end development lifecycle (code, database, deployment). - Collaborate with QA, business analysts, and IT teams to deliver products. - Conduct code reviews, demos, and proofs of concept for stakeholders. - Coordinate with infrastructure and application support teams. - Prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and align with user needs. - Mentor junior developers through one-on-ones, career guidance, and performance reviews. - Maintain industry-standard development practices and CI/CD pipelines. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in C#, Java, or Python. - Expertise in relational/NoSQL databases and GitHub/Git source control. - Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). - Familiarity with Jira or similar bug-tracking systems. - Supervisory experience managing software engineers. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. - 4–7 years of professional software development experience.
