Job Description

**Job title:** IT Auditor (Contractor) **Role Summary:** Remote contract position focused on leading end‑to‑end IT audit engagements for a major utilities client. The candidate will assess internal controls, identify system weaknesses, and collaborate with the client to strengthen security policies and procedures. **Expectations:** * Remote work; contractor (W‑2) * Initial term: 4 months (subject to extension) * Hourly pay: $48–$65 **Key Responsibilities:** * Plan, design, and execute comprehensive IT audit programs covering network and information systems. * Evaluate and document the effectiveness of internal controls and risk mitigation measures. * Identify vulnerabilities and develop corrective action plans to prevent security incidents. * Produce clear, actionable audit reports and presentations for client stakeholders. * Partner with client teams to develop and refine IT governance policies, procedures, and security frameworks. **Required Skills:** * 3–5 years of experience in internal controls and IT auditing. * Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional audit team. * Preference for candidates with utilities industry knowledge. **Required Education & Certifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. * Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or similar are highly preferred.
