Job Description
Job Title: Data Science Intern Role Summary: Intern in Software Engineering & Data Analytics responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, backend services, and analytics dashboards for enterprise projects in finance and energy. Expectations: 3‑6 month internship (remote or hybrid); may be extended for high‑performers; unpaid initially with potential stipend after 3 months. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL. - Build and expose backend services with Python (Flask, FastAPI) and REST APIs. - Create interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI or Tableau for business users. - Apply Linux fundamentals for development, debugging, and deployment. - Gain hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform workflows. - Explore distributed systems concepts and message‑queuing via Kafka and gRPC. - Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, collaborating with senior engineers and analytics leads. Required Skills: - Proficient in Python 3.9+ (scripting, backend frameworks Flask/FastAPI). - Strong SQL knowledge; experience with ORM tools (SQLAlchemy). - Familiarity with Linux‑based development environments. - Basic understanding of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau). - Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work in a collaborative setting.
