Job Description
**Job Title:** Product Development Executive – Brand Licensing **Role Summary:** Support the Product Development Manager in delivering consumer product programs for a family‑entertainment brand licensing portfolio. Manage day‑to‑day relationships with designated licensees, oversee the product development cycle, and ensure all merchandise aligns with brand standards and market trends. **Expectations:** - Minimum 18 months experience in licensing product development or a closely related field (marketing, retail buying, branding). - Strong organizational, communication, and presentation abilities. - Proactive, detail‑oriented, and collaborative team player. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage assigned licensees and agents from creative brief through final production. - Administer the online approvals system and catalogue final samples and photography. - Create brand, licensee, and workshop presentations; develop style guides and trend reports with creative agencies. - Ensure merchandise and packaging meet brand guidelines and resonate with target audiences. - Track market trends, competitor activity, and best‑practice activations. - Contribute to strategic product category plans with the Product Development Manager. - Represent the company at licensing events, trade shows, and workshops. - Coordinate with Commercial and Marketing teams to maintain smooth licensing operations. **Required Skills:** - Knowledge of brand licensing protocols and terminology. - Passion for children’s brands and IP, with awareness of UK and international markets. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign. - Experience with Mediabox or comparable online approval/asset‑management systems. - Strong analytical and commercial awareness; ability to generate creative product ideas. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum secondary education (high school diploma or equivalent); higher education in Business, Marketing, Design, or related field preferred. - No specific certifications required, but relevant training in licensing or product development is advantageous.
